Just 80 km from the coast of Africa on Sicily’s western coast, Trapani has a fascinating mix of cultures. The landscape here is similar to that of Marocco, with salt pans stretching for miles along the shore. It is also a good place to sample dish of fish couscous which is a must as well as the Marsala wine and Nero d’Avola red wine. There are several annual events here, such as Musical July, with a rich program including opera performances in open space.

From BerlingeriResort, take the SS115 direction A29, towards Palermo and then exit to Trapani. Estimated time: 50 min.
